Bill Lewis: Bass

Bill grew up in Cropseyville NY, being musically influenced by parents who loved singing music and joining friends in weekend jams. His first instrument, the trombone, stayed with him through high school, when he first became interested in electric bass. He spent two years with a rock band, "O.W.L.", but attending his first bluegrass festival about 15 years ago hooked him on this style of music for good. Three years ago, he set aside his electric and picked up a stand-up bass. At a local open mike jam, he met up with Mike Tirella, eventually joining "The Cabin Fever Band". Bill says, "These are the most professional and talented guys I've ever played with and the chemistry between us is working to make great music. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it."
